Presenter: Joyce Moore, Risk Transfer Supervisor, New York Schools Insurance Reciprocal (NYSIR)

In this practical presentation, you’ll learn what constitutes a truly complete risk transfer submission, why a Certificate of Insurance (COI) alone is never enough, and how to navigate key endorsements like Additional Insured, Primary and Non-Contributory, and Waiver of Subrogation.

Presenter Bio: With more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, Joyce Moore serves as the Risk Transfer Supervisor for the NYSIR program. For the past 12 years, Joyce has helped school districts and BOCES across New York State strengthen their risk transfer practices by focusing on properly executed contracts and obtaining insurance documentation that supports the requirements of those contracts. She holds a Property and Casualty Broker’s License and the Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation and is also a Notary Public. When she’s not working, Joyce enjoys spending time with family and friends, caring for her rescue pup, and planning her family’s next vacation.
